Application Instructions

  1. Name applied for should not exceed more than 27 letters and spaces combined. Name may include Cattery’s name as a prefix (if breeder) or as a suffix (if owner). Alternate names will be checked with our files for possible duplication.
  2. Cattery name, if used, must be registered with Calico Cat Registry International, either prior to or at the time of application for cat or litter registration.
  3. All applications must include color photographs, at least two, of the cat, kitten, or litter to be registered. Photographs should show both sides and face, and must show any unusual markings. Males will need at least three photographs.
  4. Individual kittens and cats must meet color requirements to be registered. Litter registry may be obtained as a cat, previously registered with this association, gives birth.
  5. Any ancestral (parents or grandparents) color information is very helpful, as these particular color breeds are very unstable.
  6. ALL MALES must have a signed certification from a licensed D.V.M. stating the cat’s age, color, sex, and anything unusual noted.

    These classifications include the
    tabby-striped version of each
    color, also the tortie point of
    the Siamese and Himalayan.
